SHELTER launches the Youth Ambassador Call!
Presented in the frame of Ninth edition of the Sava Youth Parliament, held on the 8th of October 2021, the SHELTER Youth Ambassador call is officially open!
The aim of this call is to inspire the younger generation to take action in protecting cultural and natural heritage, establishing a long-term cooperation between SHELTER and Young Leaders, encouraging the local community involvement.
Hereafter the main details.
Eligibility criteria:
- Being between 15 and 25 years old;
- Having participated to a SHELTER workshop/event linked to this call;
- Being an active user of social media (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter);
- Being interested in performing social and/or academic activity in the related subjects: Climate change, Disaster Risk Reduction, Global Governance, International affairs, Cultural Heritage Preservation, Urban Studies.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all SHELTER social media channels (e.g., Twitter, Facebook and Youtube);
- At least once a week create unique content (e.g., video, photo, text) on at least one social media channel related to the SHELTER project, mentioning all necessary references (like hashtags and tags);
- Repost to personal social media accounts all SHELTER social media updates.
- Volunteer for activities in Sava Region aimed to protect and recover the region from/after natural hazards events, and as well in other areas that are coordinated by the SHELTER Open Labs;
- Perform educational, academic and/or research activities on the related subjects: Climate change, Disaster Risk Reduction, Global Governance, International affairs, Cultural Heritage Preservation, Urban Studies;
- Provide a detailed report on performed activities once per year to the SHELTER team.

- Privileged viewpoint of research activities in the frame of heritage preservation and resilience;
- Possibilities of support for high school essays and university thesis;
- Traineeship opportunities in SHELTER partners organizations (for example TECNALIA, UMAS, ...)
- SHELTER team will take the interview of the most active ambassadors and publish it at the SHELTER website;
- UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe will also disseminate some of the achievements of SHELTER Youth Ambassadors via its website and social media channels;
- The created content will be shared with SHELTER consortium through SHELTER social media.

contact@shelter-project.com) with a brief presentation (in .doc and/or .ppt format - we welcome creative presentations!) and motivation to become a SHELTER Youth Ambassador.
