SHELTER Peer Learning Study Tour

Do not miss SHELTER's next Study Tour, co-organized by the ISRBC - International Sava River Basin Commission and IHE Delft Institute for Water Education and supported by UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe as part of the peer learning activities of SHELTER.

The visit will centre on flood risk management, cultural heritage protection, and emergency response. The program includes site visits, presentations by local (Dutch) practitioners and experts, and presentations by the visiting delegation, whereby participants are encouraged to share their experiences and management practices.

During the 3 days of the study visit, one will have a specific focus on "Flood risk management". It will be hosted by the Dordrecht municipality and will focus on the SHELTER Open Laboratory activities on flood protection, the IMMERSITE tool and presentations by the Sava River Basin culture protection experts. On this occasion, it will be organized a lecture by Prof. Fabio Castelli, UNESCO Chair “Prevention and sustainable management of Geo-hydrological hazard” with a focus on cultural heritage protection activities.
